World Of Warcraft Classic: 10 Reasons Why J. Allen Brack Was Right

2. Streamers

Streaming and the level of influence that it has nowadays was non-existent back when WoW was first released. Indeed, a large part of the reason why Classic WoW was even possible in the first place was due to streamers like Kungen, Esfand, Asmongold, and Sodappopin who voiced the pleas of the community.

There is, however, a lot of toxicity that surrounds streaming that affects both the everyday player and the streamers themselves. This includes stream sniping, DDoS attacks, hate spam, the mass gatherings of fanboys and their resultant server crashes. Server overpopulation and faction imbalance can also be by-products of the presence of a streamer on a server.

Let's just say that if you joined a server with a big name streamer on it, you were sure to know it, for better or worse.

Ever since I saw BJ grin as he picked up the chain gun in Wolfenstein 3D, I've been hooked on video games. My first love, however, was Counter-Strike 1.3 and I would beg my mom to take me to Internet cafés just so I could play it. The other two games that captured my heart were World of Warcraft and Quake, though I play all sorts of games (especially of the competitive multiplayer type). Oh, and I love dwarves and write fantasy stories about them in my free time.
