8. The Headbangers
As mentioned, there are going to be some rather obscure choices in this list, and this is probably the weirdest one of the lot. I'm sneaking both Mosh and Thrasher into this list because for many WWE fans of the mid 90s they were what Attitude was all about. The team were crazy mofos who somehow managed to mix in some technical ability with raw and sometimes too literal balls-out aggression. They tapped into the youth of the time with their choice of alt-rock and metal band t-shirts along with the obscure elder-defying real men wear skirts moto (okay, the latter option might just have been me then?), and didn't take themselves very seriously at all. For sure, when they won the tag-team gold in the 90s, the old adage of anything can happen in the WWE was never more appropriate. While it's terrifically unlikely that The Headbangers will ever feature in any WWE games or programming for the foreseeable future (due to heat with various people inside the WWE for outstaying their welcome), we can dream, can't we? http://youtu.be/TMUWnpMbr_s
