WWE 13: 13 Attitude Era Moments That Should Be Included

13. Can You Smell What The Crock is Cooking?

Raw: 06/07/1998 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XhzYQMEfLs The Rock and Triple H were two of the most promising youngsters before the arrival of Attitude and boosted by their rise to prominence in 1998, it became inevitable that the two would eventually clash. Both started €™98 as sidekicks in their respective factions €“the Nation of Domination and DX €“ but following WrestleMania 14 the pair were ready to wrestle for the limelight and the Intercontinental Championship. The two groups began a rivalry in the middle of €™98 and following a series of scuffles it was decided that The Rock would defend his belt against Triple H at Fully Loaded. Before the pair met, DX took the time to mock the Nation. Triple H took on the role of The Crock (€œI€™m not faking, you should€™ve smelt what The Crock was baking€), X-Pac wore extra padding as he impersonated Mark Henry (or Mizark as he called him), Billy Gunn became the Godfather and Jason Sensation Owen Hart. Perhaps the stand-out performer was Road Dogg as D-Lo Brown as he incorporated the repeating of comments and signature rolling of the head. The feud between the two groups would go on for several months, with Triple H finally winning the Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam in a great ladder match. The Rock left the Nation soon after the loss but Triple H remained a member of DX until WrestleMania XV, when he turned on X-Pac.
