2. Attitude Era Mode - No More Road to Wrestlemania
With the long drawn out "Road to Wrestlemania" feature finally departing from the game, in its place comes "Attitude Era Mode". This new "campaign mode", if you will, relives the fabled Monday Night Wars with WCW, and allows players to follow the likes of The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, D-Generation-X, Kane, The Undertaker and Bret Hart as they go through some of the most famous storylines of their careers. Famous storylines such as the Austin-Rock feud are relived, and the voice of legendary colour-commentator Jim Ross, who is semi-retired, will feature for the only time in the game. Smaller details, such as entrances, arenas and television graphics from the Attitude Era have also been recreated for the game mode for that added touch of nostalgia. This mode will freshen up the series for gamer's who were sick to death of the concept of taking a superstar through a calendar year before competing at Wrestlemania. To be able to relive the epic moments of the mid to late nineties through a series of matches and cut scenes is very exciting indeed.
