Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin One of the best, memorable and cleverest matches the WWE has ever produced. When Bret Hart took on Steve Austin he entered the arena as a face, with Stone Cold as the heel. When they left the arena they had reversed roles, and they did it without promos or cheap finishes or run ins or anything. They simply did it by wrestling. Austin wore a crimson mask and would not submit to Bret Hart's sharpshooter submission hold to the point where he couldn't continue anymore. The audience had such admiration for his endurance they turned on the ruthlessness of the Hit Man. This was one of the key points in the birth of the Attitude era. With no Sid on this game we are deprived of another of The Undertaker's epic streak (as well as the Hogan Sid main event from WrestleMania VIII) but its interesting looking at the complete roster for this Mania as there is a shopping list of people who would have been great choices for the game, but leave you scratching your head as to why they were overlooked. Names such as L.O.D, Goldust, Vader, and The British Bulldog.

Possible Match(es): Undertaker vs. Kane Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels With Mike Tyson appearing in a previous WWE game, and no announcement of his inclusion this year it may be that we don't get to relive Austin's winning of his first WWF World Heavyweight Championship, but who knows? Tyson may not have been announced as a playable character for the mode, but could still be in it in theory, and his announcement could be saved for some extra buzz at a later date. From this point on expect more of The Undertaker's matches to be playable in the game, especially as he starts having repeat opponents. Kane was introduced by 'his father' Paul Bearer as the long since thought dead brother of The Undertaker. Taker had supposedly killed him by accident in a fire leaving Kane horribly burned. Years later when he was finally unmasked we saw that Kane wasn't at all burned, but had shaved his eyebrows and hair in a strange way and then put a load of weird black face paint on his eyes that someone in the WWE office must have thought would look like scars.
