WWE 2K15: 10 Famous Wrestling Injustices You Should Put Right

9. Daniel Bryan's 18 Second Loss To Sheamus

Between last year's SummerSlam and WrestleMania XXX, fans constantly felt as though they were being cheated out of what they wanted - Daniel Bryan finally winning the WWE Championship. Despite it taking CM Punk's departure and months of crowd rebellion, that story eventually had a happy ending (neck injury notwithstanding) - and it was the second time WWE's awful booking miraculously ended up working in the American Dragon's favour. The first such time was two years earlier at WrestleMania XXVIII, when Bryan was booked to take on Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Champion. After winning the title in December, the Submission Specialist had made huge strides as a character - going from a relatively generic (although exceptionally talented) worker to a performer that achieved an impressive amount of mass appeal, mainly thanks to his 'Yes!' chant. He was beginning to really get hot as a commodity rolling into 'Mania, but the WWE had other plans. Sheamus Brogue Kicked Daniel Bryan and beat him in 18 seconds for the world title, marking a low point in the belt's storied history. The move was meant to catapult the Celtic Warrior to new heights - with Bryan being collateral damage - but the exact opposite occurred. Fans attached themselves to Bryan while Sheamus struggled to get over in a big way - despite his talent the Superman booking that was afforded to him. This match is an injustice for two reasons - firstly, fans who paid for a ticket or a pay-per-view were robbed of a great match, and secondly it was bad creative because it got the wrong guy over - and the only reason it helped Bryan was by sheer dumb luck.
