7. More Options For Create-A-Championship & Regular Championships
The improvements to the Create-a-Championship feature were really great, but remember when the feature was really detailed and in-depth in video games that came out a good six or seven years ago? Remember when you had to wrestle and win in matches to earn money to bling out your belts with jewels, rubies, rhinestones, and could do way more than what we were able to do just last year? And this was during the heyday of PlayStation 2. While last year's improvements were a phenomenal step, we know Take-Two can, and should, go further. I want it to look so pimpingly glorious that they could see me from space, but unfortunately I don't have as many options as I would like at the moment. One other aspect that could also be implemented is the use of "Freebird Rules." The Fabulous Freebirds defended their Tag Team Titles using any variation of two of their three members. The Spirit Squad later did this with their five members and Laycool even did this as "co-champions" of the Divas and Women's Titles. What if you could defend Tag Team Championships among your entire faction? That would be a neat feature and would especially help if someone in Universe Mode gets injured and is a Tag Team Champion that's also part of a larger faction! Also, if the games insist on not allowing men and women to wrestle one another in the games, how about the option to create a Mixed Tag Team Championship? I don't see why or how it couldn't be done. What about the possibility of creating a 24/7 Rule, ala the Hardcore Title, allowing for spontaneous match-ups and backstage brawls; making things a little more exciting? Two other issues that should also be brought up is the number of titles allowed for a major brand in Universe Mode. We're allowed four, and a Divas' Title can be seen as a major title now, or you can deactivate the Diva-specific title, leaving only three championships on your brand. That's all well and good, but how about the option to EXPAND titles? At the height of the Attitude Era, the WWF had the WWF, Intercontinental, European, Light-Heavyweight, Women's, Tag Team, and Hardcore Championship. The second of the two issues, and probably the most relevant one about titles, is the fact that at the start of Universe Mode you have to assign titles to wrestlers. You cannot start off Universe Mode with a vacant title. When starting Universe Mode, I would actually like to crown champions via tournaments or battle royals, or hell, why not give us the added option of having a championship on the line in a Royal Rumble Match? This would add to the overhaul enjoyment for everyone who likes to play the role of match booker and promoter.
