WWE 2K15 Release Date Pushed Back

The next-gen version will not be available until late November.

In a surprising move, 2K Games announced that they will be pushing back the release date of the upcoming WWE 2K15 video game. However, there is a bit of a silver lining to this update. The delayed release will only affect the next-gen console version of the wrestling simulator. WWE 2K15 will still be released on October 28th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems. The upcoming game has been highly touted and promoted leading up to its imminent release. The next-gen version has been spoken of highly by video game journalists and WWE fans for its improved graphics and exclusive MyCareer mode. However, it€™s now become apparent that fans of the franchise will have to wait just a bit longer. According to an official press release, North American owners of the Xbox One and PS4 video game platforms will be able to pick up WWE 2K15 on November 18th. Meanwhile, the game will see its next-gen release on November 21st for international customers. Officially, not much of a reason was given for the delayed release date, other than a generic statement about the additional time enabling the 2K and Visual Concept €œteams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets expectations.€ 2K Games made no further statements about the delay, other than they are striving for the €œmost authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date.€ It was previously reported that CM Punk was seeking royalties from WWE and 2K Games for his inclusion in the upcoming wrestling simulator. It is not believed, at this time, that the delayed release date is in anyway connected to Punk€™s 22-page legal letter. What do you think of WWE 2K15€™s delayed release for next-gen consoles?
