WWE Showcase mode is all well and good, but it doesn't feel big enough to make up the main crux of the game. Similarly, with WWE Universe mode being so dull after a while, there's little for gamers to really sink their teeth into once Showcase is finished with. Fans have been crying out for a 'proper' Career Mode for years, and it must happen in 2K16. Titles such as Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain offered so much in terms of variety, and those games were released on PS2. There was at least an illusion of choice, instead of rail-roading players down a certain path, trudging through match after match to get to the next cut scene. That needs to change in time for the next game, because the lack of a real story is killing WWE video games. Much has been made of the system 2K implemented into NBA 2K15's 'MyCareer' mode, and rightly so. Comparing it to the 'MyCareer' feature found in WWE 2K15 is unfair, because it's almost like two separate things. Whereas the basketball game has a deep, interesting tale to tell, WWE's title is yet again a dull, lifeless affair which seems to rely on match after match instead of anything meaningful. What other elements and features do you think 2K could borrow from older wrestling games for WWE 2K16? Do you agree with the choices listed here? Would they make a better game overall?
