WWE 2K16: New Gameplay Video Shows Kevin Owens' Package Piledriver
It's in the game and it's awesome.
KEVIN OWENS' PACKAGE PILEDRIVER IS IN WWE 2K16! A new video released by 2K Dev shows a triple threat match between Neville, Kevin Owens and Sheamus at WrestleMania XXXI. The clip is pretty revealing and shows a number of new details 2K have been working on in action. For example, how cool is it to see that Sheamus clothesline at 35 seconds send Kevin Owens over the top rope rather than not recognising the ropes are even there? The other main details are that Owens' package piledriver, seen being hit on The Celtic Warrior at 44 seconds, is included in the game and the rather confusing absence of John Bradshaw Layfield from commentary. The piledriver, which Owens used as his finisher before he arrived in WWE, is a move that is banned by the powers that be because it is considered to be too dangerous, although the virtual versions of our favourite WWE Superstars can't break their necks, can they? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAkUB91P4XE Meanwhile, WWE and 2K have already confirmed that former WWE Champion JBL will be part of the first ever three-man commentary team on the game, although we can only hear Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler in this clip. The other thing to note is the sound effects made by the foreign objects in the ring. They still seem to be seriously 'clunky', like they have been in previous titles, as you can hear right at the start of the clip when KO's foot knocks the table laying in the ring (although that could be one of the chaps playing the game banging something in the background).
