WWE 2K17: 10 Entrances They Must Get Right

7. The Vaudevillains

Poor old Simon Gotch and Aiden English have faded fast since making it to the main roster. After debuting quietly on SmackDown, The Vaudevillains made a couple of unsuccessful charges at the Tag Team Titles before fading into obscurity and doing the job for the likes of The Golden Truth.

That being said, their gimmick is one-of-a-kind, and the olde timey strongmen act went over huge at NXT’s Full Sail University. While they’ve struggled to capture main roster audiences in the same way, The Vaudevillains were immensely popular down in developmental, and their ring entrance was a huge part of that.

From the over-the-top ring announcement to the entrance track’s ragtime opening and slow, ominous horns and violins, Gotch & English’s entrance perfectly encapsulates who they are, and what they’re about. You’re transferred back several decades soon as the curtains draw and the screen grows black and white, and if the ‘Villains are to stand-out at all this year, 2K need to nail the entrance.

They did a solid enough job with it in 2K16, though the entrance didn’t come off quite as dramatic and grandiose as it does in-person. With some minor tweaks, the developers can really nail The Vaudevillains’ entrance this year.
