What a lovely little easter egg of a showcase mode this would be. WWE are endlessly referring to NJPW these day with Gallows, Anderson and Styles all performing at the top of the card on RAW each week.
Plus, a number of other talents from the Far East are heading stateside with the likes of Shinksuke Nakamura and Kota Ibushi sealing big moves. Is there a partnership potentially about to take off between New Japan and WWE? You would have to concede that a deal would have to be struck before anything like this can take up residence in our games.
This would be part of WWE giving some backstory to the Bullet Club, and just why we should be getting on board with the group.
They've certainly killed the Good Brothers already by having them lose to The Usos one too many times than it's healthy to, so something to demonstrate just how dominant they were over in Japan is a necessity.
It looks like WWE's main event storyline is heading to another Roman Reigns win at Extreme Rules before Finn Balor and AJ Styles battle with leadership of The Club on the line. Crossover, anyone?
