This has to be one of the leading contenders to be the featured Showcase Mode in WWE 2K17 - and if it is, that also makes the Superstars on NXT leading contenders to be the cover stars for the new game.

We were teased with an NXT Mode in 2K15 when last gen gamers got the "Who Got NXT?" mode, while current gen gamers didn't.

And due to the success the brand has enjoyed since those days, having a featured NXT Mode for all has to be high on the list of priorities for WWE and 2K.

2K have two options here when it comes to an NXT mode in 2K17: We could have A run through of all the greatest matches and high spots in NXT's history, or we could take a deeper look at each champion in the history of the brand.

Whatever the powers that be decide to do, it will be a popular choice with WWE's gaming universe.
