2. Another Fitting Tribute To Dusty Rhodes And Roddy Piper
The wrestling fraternity is still mourning the passing of two of the greats in Dusty Rhodes and Rowdy Roddy Piper last year.
What would be better than to celebrate their legacies by focussing on a company they played such a huge part in making a success.
Dusty was heavily involved with Jim Crockett Promotions as an in-ring competitor, feuding with the likes of Abdullah the Butcher, Terry Funk, Kevin Sullivan, Blackjack Mulligan, Nikita Koloff, Harley Race, Superstar Billy Graham and most notably, The Four Horsemen. He'd also become booker before Ted Turner bought the territory and turned it into WCW.
He also helped create the first Starrcade, which would become WCW's WrestleMania if you will.
After that polka dot filled stint in WWE, Rhodes would return to WCW as a member of the booking committee from 1991-1999, and even played a role on screen as Champion Ron Simmon's manager and in the nWo after a huge turn.
Piper would join WCW in 1996 and worked for the company over the next four years. He'd feud with Hulk Hogan during his early days, before joining the Four Horsemen in their battle against the nWo. He'd then feud with Ric Flair after leaving the group.
He'd also take on the likes of Bret Hart and Macho Man Randy Savage before becoming embroiled in a messy managerial feud with Vince Russo.
Both men impacted on WCW in a highly positive way and deserve to have this recognised during what would be an epic showcase mode.
