WWE 2K18: 10 Leading Contenders To Be Cover Star
8. Shinsuke Nakamura
While reports of Vince McMahon not 'getting' Shinsuke Nakamura are still rife, surely the boss of everything we see in WWE can't ignore the reaction the former NXT Champion is receiving every week on SmackDown Live - where he hasn't yet wrestled a match it's important to remember.
Nakamura will always be popular with a certain demographic within WWE's Universe but as he begins to wrestle and becomes more embroiled in the storylines on the blue brand, surely, the casual audience will be on his side in double quick time too. As a man that hadn't seen much of his work prior to his arrival in NXT, I was blown away with how captivating ol' Shinsky Naks is. I was sold after that brilliant match with Sami Zayn, and while his matches have been pretty sporadic since then, his level of performance hasn't dropped at all.
So once he makes it very clear to the casual fans in WWE that he is way more than just a Michael Jackson tribute act, the overwhelming majority of the WWE Universe should be on his side and Vince McMahon might realise what a special performer he has at his disposal. Maybe then, Nakamura would be considered for spots such as the cover star for WWE's marquee video game. We might have to play the waiting game on this one...
