WWE 2K18: 10 Things That Must Be Included

2. Adding A Retro Mode

On the subject of legacy content, what if WWE 2K18 featured a throwback mode that allowed users to play the game in the same style of WrestleMania 2000 or No Mercy for Nintendo 64? Tell me that wouldn't be an awesome selling point.

There's still a community of PC gamers that play the old WWF No Mercy but with updated skins and hacks that have modernized the game. If 2K could find a way to partner with No Mercy developer Syn Sophia, or replicate No Mercy's brilliance without infringing on copyrights, it could lead to the greatest wrestling video game ever.

High hopes, sure, but a precedent has been set. MLB The Show 17 just recently launched with "Retro Mode", mirroring the classic appearance of 1994's Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for Super Nintendo but with the teams and rosters of today. Sony's San Diego Studio has already received rave reviews for its latest release, including Retro Mode, and if 2K can learn anything, it'd be how to capitalize on an adored, classic video game and turn it into something new and useful today.

For longtime wrestling gamers, that'd be an improvement like no other.
