WWE 2K19: 10 Legends Who Must Be Included

8. Jerry "The King" Lawler

There was a time when Jerry Lawler was part of the problem with WWE video games; his lifeless, dull commentary was replaced in 2K18 by newer additions like Byron Saxton and Corey Graves. Whilst that didn't actually fix the issues with announcing, it was nice to hear fresh voices narrate the gameplay.

Now the "King" is free from the shackles of his announce position, it's time to put him in the game as a playable legend.

It'd be sweet to have two version of Lawler. The first could be his WWF guise from 1992-1995, right before he settled down and became a full-time colour man. For the second, 2K should ignore current-day Lawler and go right back to his glory days as a wild brawler in the Memphis territory during the 1970s and 80s.

Multiple variations of the same roster have become a hallmark of 2K's series, and Lawler is the kind of wrestler who had such a different flavour throughout his career. The more comedic, less serious one wouldn't be enough.
