WWE 2K19: 10 Potential Game Modes It Must Have

8. NXT's Rise

MyCareer is one of the most insipid, uninspiring modes in WWE video game history. There's nothing engaging about slogging through endless matches or running slowly backstage to get to the curtain. The mode's fat needs trimming, and 2K must focus on displaying a superstar's rise through the ranks as more dramatic.

Imagine taking charge of Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura or Finn Bálor and charting their journey from TakeOver stalwarts to main roster fixtures. That's exciting, and it's the kind of thing WWE games need more of. If 2K favour being up-to-date, then current NXT stars like Drew Galloway, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Andrade Almas would be ideal alternatives to the previous wave of NXT talent.

It wouldn't be too hard for 2K to sit Triple H down for some talking head comments about NXT's rise from the ashes of a 'C' show to the WWE Network powerhouse it is today. Those interviews would be sprinkled throughout the player's story to give context, add meaning and describe why NXT is so special.
