WWE 2K19: 8 Things You Need To Know
7. It Won't Be On Nintendo Switch
Last year's bow on Nintendo Switch was a bit of a botch from 2K. The game was a buggy mess, lacked the graphical polish of PS4, PC or Xbox One (which, in fairness, was to be expected from a less powerful console) and received an overall Metacritic score of just 35. Oh dear.
After that misfire with 2K18, the dev team have decided to scrap Nintendo's quasi-portable system altogether for 2K19 and focus solely on Sony and Microsoft hardware. That means Switch owners won't be wrestling on the go this year at all, and anyone who only owns Nintendo's unit will have to go without or purchase another console.
So much for that. Last year's hype has counted for nothing.
Unless you're a Switch fan boy/girl, this won't come as a great loss. Few could have defended 2K18 on the system without papering over huge cracks, and the game played much better elsewhere anyway. It's smart of 2K not to sacrifice quality just so they can release 2K19 across as many platforms as possible.
