By this point in time, the WWE 2K series has made several female legends playable in their games. To date, gamers are able to revisit yesteryear with names such as Alundra Blayze, Ivory, Jacqueline, Lita, and Trish Stratus. But while all five of those Hall of Famers are bone fide legends who had important roles to play in the evolution of women within the wrestling business, one person who had just as big a role to play as any of those ladies is Chyna.

Now in the Hall of Fame as part of D-Generation X’s 2019 induction, Joanie Laurer is seemingly once again back in the good graces of WWE; the company previously having questioned the decisions made in her personal life once Chyna left WWE in 2001. Maybe now, particularly on the back of her Hall of Fame induction, WWE 2K20 would be the ideal opportunity to make The Ninth Wonder of the World a playable character in this ever-popular gaming franchise.

Let’s not forget, Chyna was the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble, the first woman to compete in the King of the Ring tournament, would regularly mix it up with the male stars of the day, and even captured the Intercontinental Championship twice. That in itself could even open up the possibility of having Chyna being able to battle either male or female opponents if and when she makes her way to the WWE 2K franchise.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main dayjob, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
