WWE 2K20: 10 Most Wanted New Features

10. Functional Commentary

...commentary in WWE video games still sucked.

Arguably the only announcing worth paying attention to was in the overlooked PS1 title WCW Mayhem. There, Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan kept their banter generic without repeating the same phrases seconds after they already had, and their underlying chemistry motored things along.

Would it really break 2K's back to get some contextual accuracy into their commentary? The work of Michael Cole, Tom Phillips, Corey Graves, Renee Young and Byron Saxton is so important to WWE's on screen product, and it's a complete waste to hear them vacuously get someone's gender wrong in 2K19.

Come 2K20, everyone and their dog should demand proper narration for the in-ring action from 2K. There are no excuses nowadays. There's something seriously wrong when 2015's Rory McIlroy PGA Tour has more stirring analysis than a WWE game.
