WWE 2K20: 10 Playable Wrestlers Who WON'T Return
4. Tye Dillinger
There was a time when it seemed Tye Dillinger's 'Perfect 10' gimmick would light up the main roster and get him over. It did, but only with the fans. WWE never viewed him as anything more than a minor distraction, and that caused Tye to request a release from his contract on his birthday.
Yep, Dillinger announced that he'd asked to be let go on 19 February. That was his 38th birthday.
WWE granted him his papers three days later, and Tye has been thrust back onto the indys as Shawn Spears. According to social media, he'll be available for bookings from 31 May. Spears might need them, because he won't be receiving a check in the mail from WWE or 2K for appearing in 2K20.
He made three appearances in the series; Dillinger was DLC in 2K17 and an on-disc character in 2K18 and last year's 2K19.
