WWE 2K20: 10 Things You Need To Do First
3. Pick A Wrestler From Each Universe Brand
2K don't seem interested in real-life WWE storylines anyway, at least not recent ones.
The happiness of authentic Story Modes in the old SmackDown days are a thing of the past. 2K prefer their own Universe, and they celebrate it warts and all even when it's a bit of a crumbly system. Now for some good news. It's totally possible to bypass 2K's constraints in 2K20.
There's nothing to stop you from picking just one superstar and only playing their matches. Or, if you'd prefer not to skip entire shows, you could always choose one wrestler per brand (Raw, SmackDown and NXT) and play out occasionally-intertwining careers. This is the closest modern-day WWE games will get to the careers of yesteryear.
It's the best way to play Universe too. Burnout is real when trying to play every single match on every single broadcast, and there's often more fun to be had by skimming through and seeing some of the bigger cutscenes around Royal Rumble-WrestleMania time.
