9. Minimally Improved Visuals
It's expected that games that release in a yearly window have some improvement when it comes to the visuals, however samey the gameplay ends up being. WWE 2K20 ignored this and gave us a game that look worse than entries 5 years ago, with hair physics on female superstars being particularly bad, this being even more noticeable considering the Showcase mode was focused around the Four Horsewomen.
The WWE games have always been a few steps behind when it comes to the visuals when compared to some of the big Triple-A titles in the industry but they've always managed a consistent level of quality. 2K21 would have looked to regain that quality by improving the dismal character models of the previous game to a level at least on par with 2K19.
Judging from early footage alone, the next game in the pipeline looks to be the biggest graphical upgrade since 2K15. As such, we wouldn't have expected much from 2K21, just something better than we got last time.
