When fans were given their very first glimpse at WWE 2K22, the two wrestlers front and centre in that initial footage were cover star Rey Mysterio and Cesaro.

Clearly Rey-Rey gets a whole bunch of attention in 2K22, being the focus of the Showcase mode and having several playable variations of Mysterio unlockable in the game, but it's likely fair to say that not a single wrestler in WWE 2K22 looks more lifelike than the Swiss Superman.

The graphics in this long-awaited offering are utterly majestic, with WWE 2K22 being visually the greatest wrestling game in history. Of course, there's the capabilities of the PS5 and Xbox Series X powering the game along, but still, that doesn't guarantee an automatic home run.

With Cesaro, though, it is an undoubted home run in home the now-released grappler looks. Seriously, when seeing that Cesaro entrance for the first few times, you'll be totally blown away as the real-life Claudio Castagnoli will have you convinced you are actually watching television footage rather than gaming footage.

Not just is the Cesaro character model a thing of genuine beauty, but the veteran handles brilliantly, with him one of the most enjoyable wrestlers to play as on 2K22.
