WWE 2K22: 10 New Things You Need To Know About

7. New Mo-Capped Animations

2K's new trailer includes footage of Big E and Bobby Lashley in mo-cap suits belting each other with steel chairs. At one point, one of the staff (who may well be an actress, let's be real here) encourages E to take a few swings from Lashley in return for his attempts.

The whole thing is clearly staged, but it's great to see that current/top WWE stars will be doing this sort of thing rather than hired-in extras or indy workers. The 2K series' motion capture and animation has never been awful, at least when it works (looking at you, 2K20), but it did need an overhaul to go with other new systems.

Fans should expect to see totally fresh animations for things like weapon shots, and hopefully some other moves too. It's not outlandish to expect that 2K had Big E and Bobby lay down most of their signatures and finishers whilst they were in those suits.

Makes sense.
