A fair few Reddit users grilled Gilmore on the chances of eradicating outdated character models from the game. They wanted to know if someone who changed their look right before launch would be patched in with their new gear, hair, music and mannerisms shortly afterwards.

Patrick gave a stock answer.

He pointed towards image likeness rights on WWE's end as a major stumbling block for this, before adding that he meant it'd be more troublesome for players hoping to fully customise the roster. It'll be less problematic, in theory, for 2K to release a free download that keeps things bang up to date.

For now, nobody will be able to dip into an edit screen and change someone's look completely. It's a bit of a bummer that this is still the case, but it is true that 2K and VC's hands are tied here. WWE hold all the cards when it comes to image likenesses, and they don't want fans giving Roman Reigns a haircut for the sake of it.
