WWE 2K25 Early Reviews: 13 Major Details We Learned
6. Optional Showcase Objectives Are Timed
Showcase Mode has undergone a flurry of changes in WWE 2K25, between the removal of slingshot technology and reinstatement of fully digitised cutscenes, the return of in-match commentary, and pre-match entrances, but not every feature is positive: some of the optional objectives will be timed.
Some.
Not every single one.
Discovered by The SmackDown Hotel, the objective in question comes during Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins' Royal Rumble ruckus from the 2022 edition of the event, and tasks the player, playing as Reigns, with Spearing Rollins at ringside. A 45-second timer is applied, though no details have been provided as to what happens should the time limit lapse, while it is also unknown whether any unlockable content will be missed if the objective goes without completion.
Other objectives appear to continue the Showcase format of inflicting damage on an opponent and setting up key spots in the match for cutscenes to trigger. Cross your fingers there is no more having to Irish whip an opponent into the northeast corner and having to recount your compass directions.
