Xbox One: 10 Brand New Tips, Tricks & Secrets You Must Try
7. Track Achievements In Real Time
The Snap functionality should've been Xbox One's biggest boon back launch, but Microsoft decided the best way to showcase its multi-tasking ability was to ask if you'd like to watch a trailer for a movie... whilst watching another movie. Nope, we'd rather split our screens for a more practical use, thank you very much. A handful of patches have since made this menu far more stable, and you can now bring up the all-new Snap menu and select 'Achievements', before watching them update in real time once you hop back to gameplay. Double-tapping the home button again will give you a small plus-shaped panel that you can use to switch between gameplay and the feed of achievements, where it's very easy to enlarge the details of them one by one. This is unlike the PS4, which requires you leave the game, move across a couple of screens and wait for a 'sync' to happen, before getting back to your game - a very cool step-up from last generation's implementation.
