6. DayZ
Slightly less obvious this one, but given that Microsoft love throwing money at people to secure their exclusive titles or DLC, they could do a lot worse than trying to get this ported across once the stand-alone game is released. For anyone not familiar with the title, DayZ was a mod for ArmA2 which dropped the player into a persistent MMO zombie apocalypse where the only goal was to survive. It is brutal with players having to eat, drink, shelter from the rain as well as dodging the zombies and fellow survivors who could help or harm you. The mod is now being turned into a fully-fledged title for PC and now that the next-gen consoles have buckets of memory, it would not be too difficult to port this across. It would be an excellent title for them to snap up, especially as the developers have already expressed something for a preference to put this on PS4 so Microsoft need to act quickly and get them onside. Microsoft clearly like zombies as the recent release of the wonderful State of Decay shows and this would make the perfect Xbox One companion.
