Xbox Project Scorpio Reveal - 10 Things We Learned

5. Loading Times Get A Boost

The last piece of the "But what will it do?" is load times - of which the Scorpio apparently loads everything at a faster pace. This directly contrasts the PS4 Pro, whose lack of optimisation and an apparent lack of testing meant that even Sony's biggest franchises ran markedly worse on launch day and beyond.

For the Scorpio, even powerhouses like DOOM, Halo 5, The Witcher etc. will load faster, simply because of how the console handles the passing of data from disc to the hard drive and back again.

Microsoft have left a dedicated 3GB of space for all this computational wizardry, resulting in every game feeling the benefit, and any that use dynamic rendering to sacrifice graphical polish for frame rates (like DOOM, Halo 5 and Gears 4) will also see a marked improvement.
