XCOM Delayed Possibly to 2013

The game can ship anywhere "between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013".

XCOM has been one of the most controversial titles announced in the past five years. When it was revealed that XCOM was being remade into a first person shooter fans of the long time series were distraught and since then whenever the game is previewed there are usually very mixed reactions. People who grew up playing the series are pissed the game has been turned into a shooter, while people like me who have never played the XCOM games are less angry and personally I enjoy the different look of the game. In more recent previews of the game the developers have stated they have redesigned it to include more strategy and planning like the previous titles. So that might be a huge reason why Take-Two announced in their financial report that XCOM would be delayed till "Fiscal 2013"; which mean the game can ship anywhere "between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013". Or the other major reason the game might have been delayed is, XCOM was scheduled to be released on the same day as Mass Effect 3 March 6 and Take-Two is also said to be releasing Max Payne 3 the same month. More than likely it was decided that March was way to busy of a month to release XCOM in, but hopeful this gives the developers more time to increase the strategy and planning in the game.
