10. Know What Korok Seeds Do

One game mechanic that Breath of the Wild is especially coy about is the Korok Seeds. There are a grand total of 900 Korok Seeds that can be found throughout Hyrule, and they can be found in a variety of different and strange places. Once you find any of the 900 Korok, they will give you a Korok Seed.

What are the Korok Seeds actually used for?

Korok Seed's act as a currency for the larger Korok, Hetsu, who you can encounter after leaving the Great Plateau, near Lake Siela and on your way to Kakariko Village. Here he'll give you a quest to get his maracas back, and then allow you to exchange Korok Seeds for more inventory slots.

Hetsu lets you choose between expanding your sword, shield or bow capacity, and the price of each goes up from each purchase. After a couple of purchases Hetsu will move to the Riverside Stable, before finally ending up permanently in the Korok Forest.

Finding Hetsu is essential for being able to carry more weapons, especially considering how many are available to Link in the game. Save those Korok Seeds and whatever you do don't sell them.
