15. Use Food To Get Dog Companions & Lure Fish

Food and cooking is a constant game mechanic, but you can also use it to interact directly with the local wildlife.

Whilst this doesn't work on wolves (they'll just howl and charge at you), you can drop raw meat on the ground in front of any dog and have it join you for a while.

As for fish, plopping some fruit into the water will see a number of higher-quality catches come your way far faster, providing a way to complete any of those Stardew Valley-style "Catch this specific fish for me"-type quests.
