10 Horror Franchises Where Every Movie Is Good

9. Child's Play

When the original Child's Play was released in 1988, who could've possibly expected it to have such impressive longevity?

Though the series has had a pretty consistent formula, creator Don Mancini has also done a stellar job of making most sequels feel distinct, from the bizarre Military School setting of Child's Play 3 to Bride of Chucky's obvious genre inspiration, and the delicious camp of Seed of Chucky.

It's a series that's continually reinventing itself, and while not every entry is a stone cold banger, even the messier sequels have fun kills and are generally doing something interesting with the killer doll setup.

Oh, and Brad Dourif's performance across the series is unimpeachable, obviously.

Though for a while it seemed like Seed of Chucky's disappointing box office performance had put the franchise to bed, it made one hell of a resurgence with the straight-to-video sequels Curse of Chucky and Cult of Chucky, as well as the recent TV series.

Hell, even the remake is pretty OK honestly, despite being wildly unnecessary.
