The Blackwell Ghost might well be one of the most unsung active horror franchises right now, considering that despite its cult fandom none of the eight movies even have their own Wikipedia page.
Effectively a series of found footage mockumentaries, each installment of The Blackwell Ghost stars filmmaker Turner Clay as a fictionalised version of himself who investigates various spooky happenings.
Since 2017, Clay has produced eight movies of a shockingly consistent quality, which despite their extremely low budgets succeed thanks to Clay's appealing personality and the simple but efficient nature of the central scares.
It also helps that most of the Blackwell Ghost films are just barely an hour long, ensuring they respect the audience's time and almost never outstay their welcome.
Clay isn't pushing the boat out with these movies but he is delivering impressively solid, low-fi chills every single time, which he deserves far more credit for than he's ever gotten.
