10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2026 (So Far)
1. Killer Whale
Well, it's safe to say it hasn't been a strong year for murderous sea creatures. Chum wasn't the first disappointment in this regard when it released in June, as it was beaten by a good six months by Killer Whale.
The film, unsurprisingly, pits a group of holidaymakers against the titular orca, Ceto. Killer Whale ultimately becomes the culmination of every bad cliché you could find in a survival picture, from the terrible dialogue and poor performances all round, to the incredibly flimsy and at times embarrassing human subplot.
It's not exactly an unexpected summary of Killer Whale, but it's still disappointing nonetheless that it is one of the worst horror outings of the year. There are no mitigating factors, as it only deepens the thinking that these types of projects will simply never be good.
As said earlier in this list, there aren't many films in this space that you could call genuinely good, but there are some like The Meg where you can at least find some enjoyment if you can ignore the flaws. Killer Whale doesn't even allow its audience this small mercy. If all the flaws were ignored, there wouldn't be a movie at all.
