2. Taking WAY Too Long To Come Out - Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

Considering that Ready or Not was a solid box office success and only grew in esteem over the years, many assumed that the sequel would build on this momentum and deliver one of the year's big genre hits.

But Ready or Not 2: Here I Come ended up underperforming commercially, for while it easily recouped its $14 million budget - more than double that of the original, admittedly - its worldwide total was a tepid $43 million, well below the original's $57.6 million.

General response to the film was fine, though there was a consensus among many that filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett simply waited too long to make the sequel.

A seven-year gap for a horror sequel set immediately after the first is certainly an odd choice, and if it wanted the best chance of success, it really should've come out within two or three years of the original.
