20 Upcoming Horror Movies NOBODY Asked For

Soulm8te is a new erotic-thriller spin-off from the M3GAN franchise, centered around a man who buys an android to deal with the death of his wife, only for things to go disastrously wrong.

There are a few obvious issues here. 

First and foremost, Universal clearly jumped the gun on attempting to create a wider M3GAN universe, given that this spin-off was announced just a year after the original film was a surprise box office smash. Secondly, did anything about M3GAN's success really indicate that audiences were on board for an R-rated erotic thriller side-story? And finally, there's the fact that M3GAN 2.0 was a catastrophic box office flop last year, effectively killing the franchise overnight and ensuring that this spin-off nobody really asked for is now awkwardly stuck in unreleased limbo.

As such, it wouldn't surprise anyone if Universal quietly dumped Soulm8te on streaming later this year and washed their hands of the whole enterprise.
