10 Artists That Will Not Defend Their Own Albums

2. Be Here Now - Oasis

When you've reached the top of the music world, no one really wants to think of what it's like coming back down to Earth. Now that all of your dreams have been fulfilled, that doesn't mean that you automatically have to fall down hard or anything like that. If anything, that means that you need to dream even bigger, and Noel Gallagher has a lot of regrets about his dream turning into a nightmare on Be Here Now.

Looking back on different interviews from the '90s, Noel thought that everything Oasis stood for depended on the success of Be Here Now, after already turning into legends off of their first two records. Whereas Morning Glory might have had the best of both sides of the Oasis sound, Noel seemed to go just a little bit overboard with this record, making countless overdubs in the studio and bringing in extra instruments to make it sound larger than life, even when there was nowhere else to go.

With time comes wisdom though, and Noel has come out saying that he doesn't care for Be Here Now when listening back these days, thinking that it was the one album where the band blew it, as the entire Britpop movement coming to an end after the record came out. While Be Here Now is far from a nightmare of a record or anything, having it not live up to the Oasis standards was more than Noel or some of the fans to take.
