10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 1990s

8. My Hero - Foo Fighters

Here's something that will ruin your day - things that look like they were filmed in one continuous shot usually weren't.

Birdman has loads of hidden cuts dotted throughout, as does 1917 and Rope.

Big up to the movie Boiling Point though, which actually was made using just one shot.

The video for My Hero by the Foo Fighters is also a pretender (ha), as it was made to look like a single continuous take but wasn't. Still, when the video is this good, nobody cares.

This 1998 promo starts with a man running into a burning building to rescue a baby, a dog, and a photograph trapped inside.

The band themselves are also in the house, jamming away to the song. Notice how the guy doesn't even attempt to recuse them. What did the Foos ever do to you, mystery man?

Even though it wasn't actually filmed in one take, it's still an impressive technical feat to make it look like it was. The video is also highly memorable with plenty of humour sprinkled in and also ties in nicely to theme of the song.

Thankfully no actual dogs, babies, or rock musicians were harmed during its making.
