10 Best Rock Music Videos Of The 1990s

2. Freak On A Leash - Korn

What could possibly be creepy about a bunch of animated children getting up in the middle of the night to break into a restricted area and play hopscotch at the edge of a cliff?

Oh wait - everything.

This is precisely how the video for Korn's 1999 song Freak on a Leash begins, but things take a wild turn when a security guard dealing with the kids accidentally fires his gun at a little girl.

Are Korn going to... kill a child?

Thankfully not, as the bullet bursts through a drawing of the scene and into the real world. What follows is an extraordinary sequence, as the projectile flies through various scenes in slow motion as the band perform the track in a strange-looking room.

When the bullet reaches Jonathan Davis, he's then able to control it using his voice. This sends it back on its way, causing more destruction before it ends up back in the animated world in which it began.

Honestly, this video goes on such a journey and is utterly breath-taking to watch. It crams so much into a relatively short space of time and still holds up as a stunning piece of art many years on.
