Originally By: Kaiser Chiefs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gY5hwvRwBQ Over the course of their career Girls Aloud became known for their cover versions. As well as the ones everyone is already aware of, like I'll Stand By You or I Think We're Alone Now, the girls performed a whole range of covers during their live shows, taking on tracks from the likes of Britney Spears, Robyn and Carly Rae Jepsen. Their most ambitious cover version was taken from the girls' Chemistry tour in 2006. After having their track Love Machine covered by Arctic Monkeys in Radio 1's Live Lounge, Girls Aloud's street cred was at an all-time high which they clearly used to their advantage by taking on a track by indie rockers Kaiser Chiefs with their cover of I Predict A Riot. The result isn't something to put a smile on the face of your typical NME reader, but above all the energy and enthusiasm that Girls Aloud bring to their performance of the track is what makes this a worthy cover version for us.
My name is Daniel and I live in Newcastle. Nothing makes me happier than excellent pop music, big hair or a C-list celebrity having a Twitter meltdown.
