10 Dream Heavy Metal Tour Line-Ups

1. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon & Angel Witch

The impending retirement of the seemingly immortal Slayer has seemed to have given a lot of classic metal acts an increased sense of urgency, with the looming inevitability of having to hang up the leather jackets and denim now feeling all the more real.

So, with that in mind, the world deserves to see a New Wave of British Heavy Metal tour while it still can! The movement of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s was heavy music’s first on a nationwide scale, bringing the genre to new audiences in a country that was in sore need to continue to vicious anarchy of punk.

Naturally, Iron Maiden – Britain’s biggest metal export since the Titanic – should be the headliner of this enormous showcase, with the ever-consistent and loyal Judas Priest as direct support. Both bands have a killer and theatrical live show that every metalhead needs to witness.

Beneath them would be the opening duology of Saxon and Angel Witch, and while both names don’t have audiences as massive as the headliner’s, their sheer longevity (as well as their respective successes with Denim and Leather and Angel Witch) deserves to be recognised.

With this line-up, the very best of metal’s most influential era would reunite for one magnificent last ride.
