10 Hard Rock Bands That Should Be In The Hall Of Fame (But Aren't)

Much like grunge, thrash metal also has a Big Four. Except only one of them has ever gotten anywhere near the Hall.

Metallica's induction in 2009 leaves three fantastic groups all waiting for that phone call. Whilst we think Megadeth and Anthrax are terrific, there was only one we could give this position to.

Slayer have been putting out honest-to-goodness thrash since their first album Show No Mercy in 1983. They've never strayed from their roots, planting their feet firmly in the demonic soil that made them famous.

Perhaps because of this, the band have been consistently popular for over four decades. Long-term followers and new fans alike all agree that few acts can create songs that are as loud and angry whilst still being memorable and melodical.

They would definitely be one of the heaviest bands the Hall has inducted, but how can you claim to represent all of rock 'n' roll if you leave out one of its most popular subcultures?

Slayer deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame 100%, no matter what all the conservative mothers out there might have to say about them.
