10 Hilariously Bad Hard Rock Songs
5. F.U.N. - Black Label Society
A lot of the humor that comes with songs like these are at the expense of the artists in question. Considering they were probably meaning to make another awesome song for their album, these tend to be more of the audiences laughing at them than actually with them. Then again, sometimes it's fun when even the band are actually in on the joke.
Going into the production for the Blessed Hellride, Zakk Wylde was hitting his stride as a true bandleader, even going so far as to draft in Ozzy Osbourne to help him on the track Stillborn. As studio time went on though, things got a little doofy on F.U.N. For as amazing as Zakk Wylde covering a tune from SpongeBob sounds on paper, this is actually an original tune that was meant to mimic the more goofy lyrics and styles that come with being in an '80s hair metal band.
From the getgo though, Zakk has always insisted that this was meant to be a piss take, originally just including it as a bonus track on the album and prefacing it with the people in the studio being a bunch of morons once the tape started rolling. While the sounds of Black Label Society doing their best impression of Steel Panther doesn't sound like a thing that should work, this is still pretty funny for most of the right reasons.
