BIGBANG are one of K-pop’s biggest ever bands. Their two concert dates in Sydney later this year sold out in a matter of minutes, with tickets costing more than similar shows from Maroon 5 and Beyonce. The Korea Times called them “the icons of Korean pop”, and in 2014 Forbes named them Korea’s second most influential celebrities. Bizarrely they also ask fans to bring bags of rice to concerts, which they then donate to charitable causes. As you can gather the further you get into this list, Korea can be brilliantly weird sometimes.

Primarily a hip-hop group, BIGBANG are known to make a large contribution to the writing of their songs, something not that common within the svengali-obsessed K-pop industry. This stance has arguably made them even more popular with fans and critics alike.

Their latest album topped the iTunes charts in no less than 16 countries, got to number 2 in Canada and an impressive third place in the US.

We Like 2 Party is taken from their third album MADE, and bears more than a passing resemblance to British boy band 5ive. The video caused no small amount of discussion in Korea on its release, when it was revealed the band had - shock! horror! - got a little bit drunk before they filmed it.
