7. Corey Taylor - Xmas
Another cynical Christmas song and this one belongs to Slipknot front man Corey Taylor. Despite the hateful lyrics, this song was written in good fun to highlight the rampant commercialism - and apparently the alcohol dependency - some citizens experience around the festive season. It's featured fairly well in the UK charts over the past few years (even making into the Top 40 last year) and fans traditionally attempt to buy the single en masse via download on Christmas Eve in order to push it up the charts, and stem the inevitable tide of reality TV music. Of course it's supremely unlikely that either Slipknot or Stone Sour - Taylor's other band - would ever do a Christmas number any time soon so this is the perfect opportunity for him to rebel against capitalism and give a middle finger salute to corporate America while collecting the PRS cheques and nice Christmas bonus he's likely to receive every Holiday for the next 10 years. Clever man.
