10 Massive Music Acts Of 2013 Who Just Won't Last

8. Chvrches

Apart from the annoying letter change, Chvrches formed in 2011 without gaining any real international attention until they were given the incredible opportunity of performing on an American national TV program. Their catchy hit "The Mother We Share" (a personal favourite for this author at the moment) certainly branded their names into people's minds, but the general public may find them to be a 'hit and run' type group rather than having a constant stream of hits. Their interesting music style isn't unfamiliar to us with a blend of electronic music, smooth vocals and short punchy beats. Their album itself hasn't done badly, although it sits at 91 in the album charts behind David Guetta's 2011 album "Nothing but the Beat". They might be better suited to a more focused fanbase rather than the general public in terms of listeners. Their recent involvement with FIFA 14's soundtrack and their upcoming cover of a Bahaus classic for a film's credits could be an indication that they are attempting to widen their audience due to the lack of response for a great debut album and that they are struggling to bring in more and more sales.
