10 Most Disliked Music Videos EVER

8. Despacito - Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee

Dislikes: 4.7 Million

By the midpoint of the 2010's, pop music was shifting towards more exotic influences. With artists like Justin Bieber and Drake pulling from reggaeton music, it was pretty much a no-brainer that an actual reggaeton song cross over onto the charts. "Despacito" may have finally got into the pop consciousness, but no one could have predicted the bad (and worse) reactions in ended up getting.

While the remix that crashed the charts featured guest vocals by Justin Bieber, the song itself is still about as generic as pop songs come. Though it does have the distinction of having a different presentation, the presence of Daddy Yankee and Bieber end up sounding like the most watered-down version of an interesting new flavor of pop. At the same time, there's something about this song that puts it a notch above pop's more disposable hits.

Sure, the chord progression is pretty basic, with most of it using the 4-chord pattern that has been memed to high heaven at this point, but the soulfulness in Luis Fonsi's voice absolutely sells the track, balancing smoothness with open-hearted yearning. There's a good portion of people who will deny any pop song that comes across the charts, but even with years of overplay at this point, "Despacito" still has that same sonic fire it had when it was first released.
